With at least a dozen people losing legs during the April 15 Boston Marathon bombings, the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association has launched an effort to make sure many get the prosthetic limbs they need. The Coalition to Walk and Run Again was formed by the group not only to provide prosthetics to bombing victims, but to highlight what it says are gaps in insurance coverage. "As an industry, we would not want to see these people victimized twice," AOPA Executive Director Tom Fise said during an April 30 news conference.
